Due to the current financial state in Ireland, materials that would have normally been discarded or destroyed have become increasingly reused and recirculated in order to fulfil different functions. Wooden pallets, existing as a physical symbol of the proportions of goods to enter this country, are one such material to take on an entirely new function in this post crisis climate. These wooden frames have had a new meaning integrated into their usage, the language of protest. Occupy continuously utilises these frames as structures to formulate physical ‘eye sore’ places from idle spaces, and in doing so, question the actual and perceived states of Ireland in the post Celtic Tiger zeitgeist.

An installation is to be expected on the street.
